Posted February 13, 2018 08:07:22 I’ve been experimenting with plant artichoke plants for the past few months and I’ve got some great new ideas!
Artichokes are the most commonly grown edible plants in North America and are incredibly versatile.
The plant can be used as a cooking herb, a meat substitute, a pest control, and as a plant source for crafting items like mushrooms and seeds.
I recently stumbled upon a few new artichokes that are perfect for growing in a pot.
I’m using a 2.5 gallon pot that I found at Home Depot.
I’ve set the humidity to around 80% and I have a lid on the pot so that the plants will be able to breathe.
I also spray the interior of the pot with a mixture of water and cornstarch so that there is a tight seal.
The idea is to give the plant some water so that it can get a good drainage.
I don’t want it to dry out because that’s when the fungus is going to eat it.
The pot should be about 1/4 full.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
The plants will take about 1 week to grow to maturity.
I think the first one I planted will be about 2 inches long.
I’m going to try adding some artichoked artichoking plants to my growing section and see what I can grow.
